Outlook 2k Reply address different than Default mail account

I have a client using Outlook 2000, Internet account settings only (not
exchange). They have 3 POP accounts, one of which is the default and when
sending new mail, uses that default account. However when replying, it uses
the first email account set up in the profile, which is not the default, and
has since, been moved down to the 3rd position in the mail accounts settings
window.

Is there a way to change the way Outlook sends mail on replies without
having to go into the email options and select the other accounts?

Outlook has always sent replies using the account over which the message was

I would agree, however in this case it doesn't appear to be working
properly.
I can send a message to one of his accounts, and when he replies, it's being
sent from one of the other POP accounts. Unless he goes into the options
button of the reply email and selects the other account, it defaults to a
different account, not the one it was received on.
I use Outlook 2003 and it functions like you mentioned, by replying using
the account on which it was received. However, his Outlook 2000 is not.
I appreciate your input.

account without knowing how he sent the message, Outlook version or mail
account types?
Rather a tall order, I'd say.

a local carrier and one by Network Solutions.
I can send a message to his Net Solutions account and he receives it as
such. However, when he replies, it's being sent via one of hte other mail
accounts, neither of which are set as default.

I thought maybe there was a setting I was missing or reg hack that was
available for correcting this.

Outlook 2000 exists as two completely separate versions.
It will be necessary to know which mail support mode he is using.
Corp/Workgroup mode will use whichever transport is listed at the top of the
Delivery Order.

Thanks Russ.
He is using Internet POP3 mail accounts only. No Exchange or Corp/Workgroup
environment. I don't know if it will assist in narrowing down possibilities,
but the account it uses when he replies, is his Internet provider POP
account, which also was the first account he had set up on the machine. Even
though it is not currently the default, it will use it when replying.

Just because he is using POP accounts does not mean he is not using
Corp/Workgroup.
IMO sends replies over the account over which the message is received.
Behavior other than that is inexplicable.
