Outlook 6 keeps starting independently

Outlook continually starts itself with no user intervention. This makes my PC
almost unusable as Outlook starts every time I use the keyboard to do
anything else (generally every 2-3 keystrokes)

All ideas to stop this happening greatly appreciated

Still posting in the wrong group. There is no such thing as "Outlook 6".
There is "Outlook 97", "Outlook 2000", "Outlook 2003", and "Outlook 2007".
There is also "Outlook Express 6".

Wondering what you are using as a search key. I just tried a search on
"outlook express 6" using the Micorosft Communities in MS Internet Explorer
7. The result was a list of articles with "outlook express" in the
"Subject:" line. But the groups are all over the discussion group map. A
little more digging got me a couple of links:

| http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general

BTW, I find accessing these groups with a web browser to be clunky. I see
that is how you are doing it:

| X-Newsreader: Microsoft CDO for Windows 2000

I am using a regular news client, similar to MS Outlook Express 6. Those two
groups can be loaded in MSOE6 with these links:

| news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
| news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general

Click on them and your browser should pop up a window asking if you want to
subscribe to the named group. Or, if you are bound and determined to use the
browser, instead of a news client, click one of the first two links.

And ask about your "MS Outlook Express 6" problem.
