Outlook 97 Errors when starting

Need Help

I have a user that clicks on his Office 97 icon, a message appears saying
if he wants to connect to the exchange server or work offline. Then soon
afterwards, outlooks comes back with an error saying that: Outlook has
preformed an illegal operation and is writing to the event log. I check the
event logs and nothing is there.

Already tried to do a reinstall and nothing worked. Is there a removal took
for 97 that I could run and clean everything out and reinstall?

Have you tried creating a fresh MAPI profile here: Control Panel > Mail
applet?
