Outlook Add-In vs Web Access task reporting interface discrepencie

Hello. I use PS 2007 software and am activly using the Outlook plug-in (with
Outlook 2007). I have noticed discrepencies between task times / statuses in
the Outlook interface vs. the Standard web Access interface (often minor, but
disconcerning).

I have gone through the usual list of things - making sure everything is upd
to date, published and etcetera; and have yet to find the reason.

Has anyone run into this?

Hi George,

It would be great if you could profide more information. Dicrepencies can
have many reasons, but mainly because of "offline" times. If you are offline
with outlook and Project Server has changes, you may not see them in Outlook
until you sync with Project Server.

If you describe the actual issue in detail, I will try to reproduce the
issue to see if it is a system issue or user error.

Hello Marc,

Both systems (PS & Outlook) are online. To ensure that everything is
operational I update Outlook tasks using the "Import New Assignments" &
"Update Project Web Access" buttons further I have published select schedules
that the user has tasks for. In greater detail I set up the Outlook plug in
options for daily update, about 2 hours after the OLAP cube builds, and
manual updates to PS. (However, as I mention above I did manual updates to
the tasks when looking to resolve the discrepencies).

The discrepencies occur between the Outlook User Interface and the standard
Web Access interface in the start & finish dates as well as in the total
amount of work to date.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have just double checked this in a VPC Image and my tasks in outlook are
exactly the same then in PWA. If you have stepts to reproduce the issue, that
would be great.

Hello Marc - I am not able to provide the steps to reproduce this issue- if I
could I might be able to resolve it.
