Outlook Adding Email addresses

SteveW

Hello,

Can someone please help me? I'm trying to add a hotmail.com account.

We have dsl.

I don't know what to choose in the server type. I'm thinking POP3, but I
dont' know if this fits dsl.

Second, if I do choose POP3, I don't know what I should insert for the
INCOMING AND OUTGOING SERVER's for the hotmail.com account. I tried
hotmail.com, but the test was not successful.

Thank you
Steve

You need to have a premium, paid for, hotmail account in order to use
outlook
Is it such & what version of outlook?

Not correct. As long as the OP converts to a Live Hotmail account, he can
install Outlook Connector (Outlook 2003 and above AFAIK) and use a free
hotmail account in Outlook.

If you have outlook 2003 or later, and convert your Hotmail account to a
Live Hotmail account, you can use the Outlook Connector to synch your
Hotmail in Outlook.

And, if you have Outlook 2002 (2000 does not support Hotmail accounts) you can use the HTTP option and the server information is automatically completed for you. You still must have a paid Hotmail account for this option to work.
