Hello.
Somehow on a computer of an acquaintance the following situation has
arisen. All emails are visible from outlook (2007) on a hotmail
account, but when going online to the webmail interface, there are no
emails listed in the inbox.
Now I worry about how to resolve this issue without losing all the
emails.
I tend to use webmail myself, but I also have outlook 2007 installed
and when I look into my own
hotmail account in outlook, it looks exactly identical to my hotmail
account via the webmail interface. I see the same emails and the same
folders.
How should I resolve discrepancies such as differences between the
emails/folders listed in a hotmail account in outlook vs a hotmail
account via the webinterface (www.hotmail.com).
I do use outlook connector, but it seems it's possible to connect to
hotmail in outlook by means of different methods (POP/SMTP vs MAPI).
Is there any webpage where they have extensive information about
problems accessing hotmail accounts from different computers or
discrepancies between outlook and the webinterface (e.g. as far as
settings are concerned)?
