Outlook and IMAP accounts

I just started using Outlook (currently using OE) and I have a
few questions I'm hoping someone can answer:

* For an IMAP account, how can you specify the root folder.
In OE, you can go to

Tools -> Accounts -> Mail Tab -> (pick account) -> Properties
-> IMAP tab -> Root Folder Path

And set that value so that your folders are shown properly in the
tree. Can you set a similar value in Outlook?

* How can I change the name of the account that appears in the
"Mail" pane under "All Mail Folders". In OE, you could do this
by going to the properties of the account (as above) on the
General tab

* How can I set the default timeout for communicating to the server?
It seems as if the timeout is very short (30 seconds, perhaps) and I
need it to be a bit longer. In OE, you could change this setting in the
account properties on the Advanced tab.

I just installed Office 2003 and the new Outlook seems pretty nice.
But it seems to lack alot of the settings that OE has that I use alot.
It also kinda bites that it *still* doesn't have newsgroup support.
But alas.

Thank you for your time and assistance!

You don't. You can, however, create sub-folders of exisitng folders.

Tools | Accounts | View or change exisiting email accounts ... select the
account then select Change, select More Settings and change the name in the
General tab. Change the timeout in the Advanced tab.
