Hello,
If I send a Word 2003 file (or Excel or PowerPoint file) as an attachment in
an Outlook 2003 email, the file size of my attachment that the recipient sees
is different from the original size that I sent (it also differs in my own
Sent Items). For example, I had a 24,064 byte word doc that I emailed - and
when I saved the attachment back to my Desktop from my Sent Items, that word
doc was 26,624 bytes. The recipient also received it as 26,624 bytes.
Outlook appears to be automatically adding a Summary Information section at
the bottom of the file from looking at it in a hex editor.
Does this happen for anyone else? And does anyone know how to turn it off?
I would prefer if Outlook would deliver my attachments as is rather than
changing them silently. Also, I have the option "Add properties to
attachments to enable Reply with Changes" unchecked.
Thanks for your help,
Ryan
