OutLook and Project add-in options

After installing the Project Add-on to Outlook there is of course the two
option to interact with Project server these are
“Update Project WEB access†and “Import New Assignmentsâ€
I’m going to explain this the way my Brain see things

Are these the differences if not or I’m confused please correct me.

I can only get New Task to my Out Look task group if I use the Import option?
Is the update to update my Outlook Task or to Update my WEB project task?
With Task open and the WEB project task interface being viewed (The screen I
will be referring to is the screen that if you’re in the Task portion of
Outlook you double click on a task, it offers a Managed tab and Time Sheet
tab.
If modifying the fields in the Managed screen these have an effect on the
Outlook task but the Time sheet perimeters don’t seem to affect anything.
i.e.
When I put in time to the “timesheet†than go look a t the task on the
Project WEB server there is no change.
Does the Time sheet effect the task on the server ?

Does any of this make sense?
I guess I’m really looking for what users can and can not doe from Outlook
and the WEB portion of Project server, I have books but they seem to generate
more questions from me than answers.
