HI all,
I am running Outlook XP SP1 on Windows XP SP1, Outlook is setup to a POP3
account that supplied by our ISP(123.com.au). I have imported some contact
from my colleague who is connected to a Exchange 2000 server using a .pst
file. The reason why i am not on a exchange server is because i am working
at the Remote office, it is handy to send email back to the main office with
all the contact from the exchange server. However, my outlook is acting very
strangely after i imported the .pst file. The contact that i imported are
all seems to be fine, all username and email addresses are shown correctly.
The thing is whenever i send someone an email who is in the contact. Outlook
append a extension to the email address, therefore it never reach it
destination. (e.g If i try to send a mail to [email protected]. it will become
([email protected])@mailproxy1.123.com.au). It doesn't show on the "To" address
when i enter the address, however, if i send an email to [email protected] and "cc"
to [email protected](which is not in my contact list). Email address [email protected]
receives the mail, and show the "To" address [email protected] has been altered to
([email protected])@mailproxy1.123.com.au, as a result [email protected] never receive
the mail. It only happen to the email address which listed in my contact
address book. The only way around it, is delete all the contacts.
Everything works fine afterward. However, it is really handle to have all the
contact listed in the contact address book, so i can easily send mail to the
outside world.
Things have tried:
Re-import the contact from the .pst file.
Repair office installation.
Recreate the outlook user profile.(delete the old one and add a new one)
Any ideas?
