Outlook archiving based on received date.

Is there a way to archive outlook emails based on received date?

Archiving uses the Modified date. If all you've done to an email is read it
on the day you received it, then the date of receipt will be the modified
date.

But if I reply the same on the same day or the next day what will be the
behaviour of archiving in each case?

Just having looked, it would appear that the modified date of the original
message is changed when any action is done on it - i.e. if you replied on
the same day, then the modified date doesn't change. If you reply the day
after, the modified date is changed to that date.
