Outlook automatically closed

When I click send/receive button outlook automatically closed and I cant get
emails. I am using Outlook 2003. Thanks

Do you get any error message?
What is being logged to the Event Viewer?
Does it work in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe
