Outlook automatically restarts

Outlook 2007 on Vista 64 will restart itself within a minute of shutting it
down. How do I deactivate this automatic restart?

Outlook probably crashes then upon shutdown.
Have you applied Service Pack 2 for Office 2007 already?
What is being logged to the Event Viewer?
