I recently reloaded my hard drive from scratch (ie low
level format and complete reinstall of all SW). I re-
installed MS Office 2000 including all the critical
updates plus the Backup support add-in from MS.com
When I attempted to restore my folders and contacts from
my Outlook Backup disk file, the restore failed with the
following message: File may not be compatable with this
version of Outlook or file may be corrupted. When I
attempt to open the backup file from the file menue I get
the message: User does not have permission to open this
file.
I do not suspect the file is corrupted. Also to my
knowledge the before and after config of Outlook is the
same.
What can I do to restore the messages?
