How can you backup more than 700mb? Outlook 2000 seems to load everything into one backup file. When this is more than 700mb a CD will not burn.

You could create another Personal Folder File and drag items into this to
reduce the size of the original.

perhaps an easier approach is to look at reducing the file size - by
archiving or even deleting old emails/contact/calaendar entries - especailly
emails that have large attachemnts (that's what I did) - after thats all
done, compact the file : see Personal Folder, right click for Properties,
Advanced , Comapct
- my 600MB file dropped to 100MB
