Outlook Backup

Hi

I have been using the Outlook Backup Tool successfully for several months.
But since I installed Norton Antivirus 2005 and Norton Firewall 2005 it
doesn't appear to backup any more. I quit Outlook and where I would normally
see the backup window doing its stuff, now I hear a windows sound indicating
an error.

(While it was backing up correctly, I was running Norton Antivirus 2004)

Can anyone help?

Uninstall or turn off the Outlook integration with your Norton products. It
is a known problem that Norton does not seem willing to correct.

Hi Milly

I had a feeling it was to do with that. How do I turn off the integration? I
tried simply disabling the antispam function but this doesn't seem to make a
difference.

The method I have seen recommended is to uninstall, and then reinstall and
deselect the integration option. Use the custom installation option, if it
exists.
