Outlook / BCM / SQL 2005 Express Windows 7

Hi

I have just recently installed Windows 7 on a spare hard disk drive
with Outlook /BCM / SQL 2005 Express and we connect to a remote SQL
database on the SBS server in our network.

It struck me that the Windows 7 seems to run Outlook & BCM combo way
way better than on Windows XP Pro. We had Outlook 2003 but got enticed
into going with office 2007 office suite's BCM. I don't know if anyone
would agree with me but I'd love to hear other peoples opinions here.
I know I've never been able to consistently get Outlook/BCM 2007 to
work with XP Pro. It seems to me that we may be all better off?

Any thoughts?

Windows XP is, after all, goig on 10 years old. I would expect any newer
operating system to work better with new programs than one designed 10 years
ago.

I've been forced to have two hard disk drives as I slowly migrate to
Windows 7. Even in a simple network with Small Business Server 2003
(which maintains security etc.,) The ramifications of changing over
from one OS to another is a lot of work and testing to see if stuff
works. I've been able to get Outlook 2007 to work in WAN environment
knowing however that Outlook is a LAN area application. With BCM stuck
on top of Windows 7 even BCM can remotely connect to SQL database and
download across a small WAN connection and sync up our shared
database. Why on earth didn't MrSoftee get this stuff figured out
years ago? Oh gawd help us all!
