Outlook bombs with Norton Internet Security 2004 despite updates

Outlook almost always bombs when I start it, then restarts normally. This
began after I installed Norton Internet Security. Despite installing all
updates and Nortan and for MS Office, the problem hasn't gone away. Any
suggestions???

Unistall NIS? There are known problems with it - not sure if symantec has
anything in their knowledgebase or not...

Did you allow Outlook to connect to the net in NIS?
