Outlook calendar transfers / rights

We have an employee who is replacing someone who has left the company. The
person who left sent periodic meeting requests to his collegues until the end
of 2009. The person who is replacing him would like to take control these
meetings. We know we can give him delegate priveleges on the account of the
employee who left but the problem is that the account will be closed in one
month.

Is it possible to transfer, with all the appropriate rights, the meetings
organised by another user? Or must the new employee send out cancellation
notices and reschedule the meetings (implying that all invitees remove the
old meetings and accept the new)?

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thank you!

You will need to cancel the old meetings and reissue them from the new
employee.
