Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server????

Lindsey

Someone please help me! I see that there are tons of people who have had
this issue but I can find seem to find a solution from reading old threads...
I'm getting the following error message when I try to send an e-mail from
Outlook:

Task '(e-mail address removed) - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) :
'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you
continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'

I'm running Vista with Outlook 2007. This has been happening since Tuesday
night - I've done a system restore to before Tuesday thinking perhaps I
downloaded something that messed up the settings - no luck. I've also
contacted my ISP and my webhost - nothing on their ends either.

Advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

You've given us zero information to work with. No Outlook version, no
account type, no description of current configuration, no error message
text, no description of exactly what you've tried. How can you expect help?
