Outlook can't open Word as editor

I get an error message that Outlook can't use Word as the
Editor whenever I try to send a Reply or Forward a
message. It works fine for new messages, up until I try
to Reply/Forward. After that Outlook is useless until I
restart it.

Any suggestions?
