Outlook categories are removed when moved to another folder?

Using Outlook 2007, if I categorize an email when it's in the Inbox,
and then move that email to another folder, the category is stripped
out. I can't figure out what's going on. Also, I disabled that
"Clear categories on mail" rule just in case. Still no go.

Any ideas would be appreciated...

the category is removed or the color of the category? Where is the folder
you are moving it to? Are you using an IMAP account? IMAP doesn't support
categories.

The color of the category is removed, but it is an IMAP account, so I
guess that answers my question. Thanks!
