Outlook closing down

My Outlook 2002 (use as POP) is constantly shutting itself
down when I try to
a) click on a link in a message
b) open an attached file
c) switching between programs.
Very irritating and it started just a while ago. No virus
as far as I know. I have tried deleting lots of mails in
case the file's too big... No change.
Anyone?

What is logged to the Event Viewer regarding this? For now; clear your
Deleted Items folder and run scanpst.exe against your pst-file when Outlook
is closed.
