Outlook contacts

When I am creating a new email and I click on the "to" box - a list of my
contacts pops up. Many of the contacts are duplicated - the reason being
that one is for an e-mail address and the other is a fax number. If I try
to find out which one I have, by going to "properties" it opens the
contact's file giving me all of their info. How can I get only the e-mails
for my contacts in this list? And what if the contact has more than one
email address?
Thanks in advance...

The email address will always appear before the FAX number. Also, if you
scroll to the right, you'll see a column titled "E-mail Type", with "SMTP,
"EX", or "FAX" in it ("SMTP" is for standard addresses, "EX" is for Exchange
addresses, and "FAX" is for, well, fax numbers). You can use that to
choose.

You can also put some non-numeric character or string in the FAX field of
the Contact. Many people user the letter "F" or the string "FAX". While
this will break Outlook's ability to integrate with Windows FAX, many people
don't use that function anyway and so don't care. It will, however, cause
Outlook to stop displaying the FAX number as an addressable item.
