Outlook crashes when clicking on embedded links within emails

Since installing a recent download from Microsoft, my Outlook continues to
crash when I click on links embedded within an email. Anyone have
suggestions?

I get another error message that this patch package could not be opened.......

I've now restored my PC to a date previous to the Windows Service Pack 2
installation and I'm not receiveing the error any longer. Is there something
wrong with this install?

Typically, no. Make sure you read all the documentation Microsoft has
supplied describing SP2 prior to installing.
