Outlook Crashes when sending/receiving

It just started. Outlook SP3 opens fine but crashes when performing the
send/receive action - the program simply locks up. Because Outlook
automatically begins the sned/receive action within about 30 seconds of
starting, there is very little time to check stuff out within the
program. Outlook Express works fine. How do I diagnose and repair?

Try turning off the Outlook junk mail filter.
