Outlook database performance

Selçuk Kumbasar

Hi,

What can you say about the database performance of outlook and public
folders?
Is outlook performant when it contains 10000 tasks? Can Public folders
maintain 50000 contacts? Is it ok to construct a crm solution based on this
performance?

Any resources, any idea about this subject?

Thank you!!

I've heard of public folders with 20k+ items having no performance problems as long as they're on a dual-processor box with plenty of RAM. You will want to check the information at http://www.slipstick.com/exs/pfshare.htm#problems on potential problems related to cached restrictions.
