Outlook display

Migrated from Outlook 2003 to 2007. Their navigation pane folders and email
messages are displaying in a light purple unless there are unread items. No
rules are set, autoformatting options are correct, etc. Any ideas.

You mean the actual text of the folder names in the Navigation Pane?
That is being controlled by Windows, not Outlook.
