Outlook displaying the description field from AD

Hi,
In outlook the from field is now displaying the description field from
active directory. I need that to stop, does anyone know how to turn that off?

That is not an Outlook feature.
Is this happening for all users?

It sounds like a corruption in the Global Address List or somebody has been
messaging with its templates. It is really hard to say without knowing any
details but contacting the mail admin would be wise.

Nope, only started happening for one user (me). It is displaying the
description field in the "from" in our internal email and even in mail sent
externally. Will the global address list set that option for a single user?
If so how can I change it back. I am the email administrator for my company
so the buck stops at me :|

Assuming you are using Outlook in Cached Exchange Mode, locate the oab-files
on your computer and rename them all to .old when Outlook is closed. The
next time you start Outlook, it will collect a fresh copy from the server.
