Outlook Distribution List and Contacts Icon

Hi
We have a distribution list in Outlook with different Contact Icons.

Some icons with "man with yellow head" when double clicked show the
full Contact Details. Others that when double clicked only show an
email address.

Why is this as ALL contacts were originally Full Contact details but
after UPDATE NOW button pressed have changed.

Also we are having problems with some recipients not receiving emails
that are in the distribution list as a Contact Icon (greyed out
looking with no "man with yellow head" on it).

I am trying to figure out if NON FULL CONTACTS (only email addresses)
affect the way the distribution list works?
