Outlook doesn't exit

I've been using outlook 2007 on Vista and Win7 and find that the Outlook
process does not close after shutting down the outlook program. It just sits
there forever. This inteferes with opening up new outlook sessions and with
computer shutdown.

Any fixes for this?

Usually caused by an addin, often intergrated AV software

I've removed all non MS addins. Problem still persists.

Did you try and disable your AV from scanning your mails

Don't have AV software. But I found the issue. It was the MS Oulook
"connector" addin.
