Outlook doesn't reconnect after undocking/docking

Hi,

I have a very strange problem with an Lenovo (IBM) T43 running XpSP2 and
Offive 2003 SP2. When the user takes his machine from the docking for a
meeting and returns afterwards Outlook doesn't reconnect (stays on Connecting
to....).
Even killing Outlook (normally or with taskman) and restarting Outlook
doesn't solve the problem. Switching to Offline and online -> no result
either.
Only way so far to get it running again is a reboot.

Machine has been reinstalled (including user profile) with no effect. Other
machines (same type) work fine on this location
MSX2003 is running on a cluster W2k3 server

Somebody have a clue ????

Thanks
Edwin

Hardware issue? Reinstalling the machine more or less takes away any
configuration issue and the test with other machines suggests the docking
station works correctly as well.

Might be, but why does the offline mode for windows works fine. This detects
the network and goes online after docking. Also other network connections are
working fine after the re-dock. Only problem is with Outlook.....
So this would be a very selective hardware error....

Are you using Roaming Profiles? Have the user login on a machine that has
confirmed to be working and try again.

We are using roaming profiles indeed (but as mentioned, recreated with
reinstall)
I'll try to switch the machines between 2 users next time i'm on location...
Will be a while as i'll start a vacation friday...

Alright, enjoy!
If you still have issues after your vacation you might want to start a new
thread as this one probably will be unmonitored by then ;-)
