Outlook Doesn't Send/Receive When it Starts

I start Outlook in Outlook. I don't believe it's checking for email
when I start Outlook. I need to click Send/Receive. Any Ideas?

Thanks,
James

You provided no information that would permit an answer. Post your Outlook
version, mail account type, and connection type.

Version 2003 (sp1), pop and LAN.
I formatted my hard drive yesterday and
reinstalled all the software. I did have problems
getting it to use my backup pst file as apposed to
the Outlook.pst it creates during installation.
But it's using my data now.

Then all you need to do is configure an automatic polling interval in Tools
Send/Receive > Send/Receive settings...

You'll probably find all sorts of things you'll need to reconfigure with a
new install.
