Brian that is my very problem. I do not want it to defalt to High

Assuming that you're using Outlook 2003, Tools menu > Options > PreferencesBrian that is my very problem. I do not want it to defalt to High

on a blank new e-mail being written by me.
tab > Email Options > Advanced Email Options. Set Importance to Normal.
