Outlook email error message

Markus

I get the follwoing error message when opening OL:

Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC90) : 'Your incoming (POP3)
e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this
message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider
(ISP). The server responded: -ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server: Cannot connect to
the mail server!'

AVG is my virus checker. Is this related to that in some way? Can anyone
translate this for me, and should I be concerned. I ask only because it does
not seem to affect my incoming or outgoing email.

Thanks for any help on this,
Mark

Yes, disable AVG's integration with Outlook and you should be fine.

Uninstall AVG and reinstall it without the mail scanner.
