Outlook Email: How do you back it up?

J

John Cewe

I am looking for a simple way to backup several years
worth of email to either a zip disk or a CD.

I would like to be able to back up the emails and retain
the original date stamps for the email.

Can anyone help me?
My email address is [email protected]
Thank you

Close Outlook and copy your PST file to a ZIP disk (presuming it will fit;
you might be able to zip it) or burn the PST file directly to a CD using
your CD burning software.

If you aren't sure where your PST file is, search for *.pst on your hard
drive and include system/hidden folders in your search if on W2k/XP.

Sorry, no email replies - if you ask in the group, read the answer in the
group. Note - posting your valid e-mail address in a newsgroup post, or in
your news account settings, is a surefire way to get spam and SWEN and other
viruses sent to you....see http://www.mailmsg.com/SPAM_munging.htm for help
in the future, but note that now that your address is out there, there's not
much you can do other than changing your address.
