Outlook Email

I recently upgraded my system from Outlook Express in
Office 2000 to Outlook in Office 2003. When I open
Outlook, I only receive my email if I click the
Send/Receive button. I've searched for a setting to
receive email when Outlook is started, but can't find
anything. I there something I'm missing?

in menu tools/options click on mail setup tab, click on send/receive there are various configerations available from here
