Outlook error message received, help!

"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. Outlook could not start because
a data file to send and receive mail could not be found. To add a data file,
such as a personal folder file, double click the Mail icon in Windows Control
Panel."

I am a single at home user, trying to transfer my old Outlook files from an
old drive to my new drive. Then I got this message as I tried to open
Outlook on new drive.

Hi,
sounds like you havent create a profile!
So please create a profile.
Or open your pst file into your outlook.

Yes I have created a profile, and I don't know how to open a .pst file into
my outlook. All my Outlook files are in .dat format.
