outlook error:unable to start processing services. could not open

My new computer came with trial office. I already had office 2003. I
uninstalled trial version (after reading how to fix missing sku112.cab
problem). I reinstalled office 2003 (did not uninstall it) and now all is
okay except for outlook. When I try to open outlook, I get the above error.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Clarification: Error says - Unable to start processing services. Could not
open the item.Try again.

I have since uninstalled office 2003 and reinstalled it and now Outlook
opens but my data is not displayed. I tried to retrieve my archive.pst file,
but when I select File> Open> Outlook data file, I get an error "Not
Implemented"/
