Outlook errors

After customer support did not make things any better, here's my current
dilemma, I'm getting a window that pops in every minute or so with the
following message:

Task 'pop.att.yahoo.com - Sending and receiving reported error (OX
80042108): 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail
server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server
administrator or Internet service provider.

I'm running Outlook 2002, on Windows XP Home and my emails come and go with
no problems other than this annoyin window. Any ideas anybody? Thank you.

Have you verified your account settings are set correctly?
If you get this pop-up every minute, you must have set your automatic
send/receive interval to 1 minute as well. Set it to at least 5 minutes and
see if it still happens.

Do you have a virus scanner installed which integrates itself with Outlook?
Uninstall this integration part of your virus scanner and try again; you'd
still be sufficiently protected by your on-access scanner part of the virus
scanner. For more details see;
