Outlook.exe in process list multiple times.

when I try to forward attachments by right-click/send to/mail recipient,
I get an error message that the process failed.
Looking in Task Manager/Processes, Outlook.exe is listed multiple times.
If I kill of the processes and open Outlook fresh, everything works fine for
a while.

I'm wondering what keeps spawning Outlook processes, and what I can do about
it.
Running XP Pro, all patches & service packs are current. Office XP Pro, all
patches and service packs are current. Exchange Server on SBS.

You do. It's because you have some add-in that is keeping Outlook open
instead of allowing it to close properly.
