outlook expres no spellcheck

I have just loaded Internet explorer with 6 sp1 aboard now
I dont have spellcheck in my mail . Its there but it is
greyed out This was loaded from a new CD from
PC Authority off a new cd issue 73 dec 2003. Please help
my spelling is woefull EDD
