I would'nt have thought so since they are entirely seperate programs
Presumably you dont use outlook for mail?

That is correct i use Outlook Express for emails only and Outlook for diary
details. I can link an excel or word doc to a calendar item. I thought it
would be helpful to link emails to a calendar for follow up on outstanding
queries.

So why don't you use Outlook (not Express) for emails as well?

Save the e-mail as a file and THEN link it.
