Hi,
do you get an error message?
Have you checked the firewall settings?
have you checked the authentification settings for smtp?

I have verified all settings and remember outlook express works perfectly.
That's what puzzling, Outlook Express is using all the same hardware and
settings as Outlook.

I do get an error message 0x800ccc0f. The error points to firewall settings,
or A/V issues. I've worked through all the "fixes", I even had Symantec
online to assist. Problem still occurs.

That has nothing to do with anything.

Obviously not, or it would be working. Are you properly authenticating to
your outgoing server? What happens when you try to send? Do you get any
error messages? If so, what do they say?

Are you scanning your incoming mail. Uninstall Symantec's product and
reinstall without mail scanning.

I have uninstalled all A/V utilizing a program I received from Symantec
called NONAV. It removes all pieces of the program including registry keys.

So, did that change anything?

Brian,

I had tried all these things before I posted my question. So the problem
still exists.

What options are selected on the Outgoing Server tab of your Outlook e-mail
account properties pages?
