Ok below are the details:
* Splash screen appears and then stops - this happens after reboot,
shutdown, standby mode, etc.
* All other programs are fine although slow down significantly when OE
is trying to load.
* Task Manager - Processes is the only way to shut down. During this
Memory usage for MSIMN is climbing at about 2000K/sec while the CPU
doesn't climb above "00".
* Attempted stopping email AV prog (Norton), halting internet, updated
everything from Norton to AdAware to any/all critical updates - to no
avail.
