OUTLOOK EXPRESS BACKING UP

Hello to all,

I am aware I may not be in the correct section, but what does OE come under?

Anyhow, here goes:-

On PC-A I had a client who has 6 email accounts in Outlook Express!!! They
wanted all of these accounts, emails and everything transferring onto PC-B
which also had 4 other accounts on it, and the existing information deleted
on PC-A.

I used a freebie backup utility I have always used for OE to back everything
up, and restore eveything onto PC-B. Somethings such as account information I
had to do manual through exporting and importing.

Anyway, when I did the restore of the 6 accounts onto PC-B, so hopefully
this would give PC-B 10 accounts!!! the data was overwritten and I ended with
just the 6 accounts from PC-A. All data etc was lost for the other 4 accounts
which initially existed on PC-B. Hope you can follow this.

I had to recreate the 4 accounts but couldn't retrieve the emails or address
book items.

Basically, my question(s) really are:-

1) Does anyone know of a good freebie utility that will back everything up
in OE?
2) Secondly, what is the simplest way to do this?
3) Finally, is there an easier way to do what I was trying to achieve ie
transfer all accounts, emails, address books items and add them to other
accounts on another PC?

Many thanks to all,
Jeff

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.
