Outlook Express - cant read body of email

I am unable to read the body of my emails. They are
received okay, however, the "hour glass" stays on when I
place the cursor over the preview window. If I try to
open the email, the body doesnt show up either.

any ideas what this could be?

Make that three of us. Exact same problem. How about your old messages that you've left in your Inbox? Can you read those? Was Outlook Express working fine, then this inability to read messages suddenly began?

I finally resolved this problem by going to the Start button --> Run --> type in: msconfig --> click ok. Then follow instructions. On one of the following screens you will get a calendar. Choose a recent date when you know that Outlook Express was working and you were able to view the messages in the preview pane. Click next. Your computer should essentially restart with the hardware settings the way they were on the date you chose. It worked to resolve my OE problem. However, I do not know what actually caused the problem in the first place. The solution to this problem was suggested by a tech at Dell. Since my computer is a Dell and under warranty and the computer came with OE, Dell solved the problem. -Jeff

Try this: Click START --> RUN ->"regsvr32 inetcomm.dll"

I had the same problem and this fixed it
