Outlook Express deleting emails from server WITH leave msgs. on se

Hi all,

Here is my problem:

Have OE on a PC on the East Coast running Norton 2005 with email scanning r
etrieving email from a POP server with settings on the OE client set to "Lea
ve messages on server" and "delete after 3 days"

Have OE on the West Coast trying to retrieve from the same account also set
up with leave messages and delete after 3 days.

What is happening (discovered after reviewing pop3 logs) is that OE on the E
ast Coast for some reason seems to think these messages have been read and i
t logs into pop server deletes them without retrieving and logs out usually
not even giving the West Coast Outlook 2000 client a chance to even download
it, thus the emails are lost.

Has anyone seen this happen before? What causes Outlook or OE to delete
messages?

The reason we are on Outlook express in the first place is because Outlook
was downloading multiple messages of the email in the first place. It would
not recognize that the emails had been downloaded and it would download them
repeatedly. Kind of the opposite problem.

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup.

I couldn't find one and I was having basically the same problem in Outlook
anyway.
