Outlook Express Faster than Outlook 2000

Is there something that can be done to make Outlook 2000
(Internet Only) send/receive messages as fast as Outlook
Express 6? When I send an e-mail message in OE, it takes
20 seconds, but the same message takes 2minn & 20secs in
Outlook 2000.

I have XP Pro on a new fast Athlon with 512 RAM.

Is this just a simple send/receive? How many accounts? Outlook has a lot
more overhead as it functions more as a PIM than a mail client. If all you
need is simple mail and news access, OE is the way to go. Get your mail in
OE and use Outlook for PIM functions.
