Outlook Express: Inbox messages being deleted

Each time I open Outlook Express all my messages in the
inbox are gone. I have checked under Options, and any
other way that a default setting may have been changed and
I see nothing different.

This only started happening this week.

How do I keep this from happening.

check to see if....View/current view/show all messages...is selected, or if
something else is.
